Well, she’s finally DONE! It seems like it’s taken years, when in fact…I cast on in July. Unusually long for me to be fussing with a cabled cardign coat. But, I stopped along the way numerous times to block each step. The labor and pains taken for blocking has been well worth the time and effort. There isn’t a single thing about this little coat that would crumble under close scrutiny. I’m very proud of it. Phew. I’m glad it’d done. My daughter loves it. She says the fit and the cut are very flattering on me. That made me feel enormously relieved. I’ve been known ‘to tank’ when it comes to that part.
I’m happy to share this with you!
NEXT DAY:
I wore my Faery Ring Hoodie to Sunday Services today…with a long-sleeved
Silky Wool pullover…and I was perfectly comfie the entire time! The air-conditioning
didn’t blindside me at all!
I like the clasp closures, too! They’re metal, but not heavy. And they STAYED CLOSED! These suckers were $8.75 EACH, but I got them 50% off at The Button Drawer (online) ‘Going-Out-of-Business’ sale. I’m so sorry to see them go. I could ALWAYS count on them to have ANYTHING I need!
Don’t you hate that , when you have a place that you know will have what you need when you need suddenly closes? The only choices for yarn I have here in Lakeland are JoAnns, Micheals and Walmart. I did find a yarn online called Daylily, I had to order it. It is a blend of purple shades, my favorite color in a daylily.
Absolutely incredible!!! This may just be the most exquisite piece you’ve done yet (altho with my memory I could very well be forgetting others)! Wow!!! You SHOULD be proud!! It’s fantastic!! Beautiful design, stitching and fit!!
UGH! I hate that about the store. I could find stuff there I couldn’t find anywhere else, and usually cheaper.
Looks wonderful!!!
Every time I looked at the Faery Ring FO’s on Ravelry, I always noticed the puckers at the waist/skirt section. Your Faery Ring looks tapered and smooth. You did a great job. :yay:
