Hiya! This is my first “garment” of any kind. As some of you may know, it is knit in one piece and then seamed along the shoulders. I just took a 4-week knitting class that was centered on knitting this sweater. And now…it’s all done!
The best part is that I’m pregnant…so now I’ll have someone to wear it! I can’t attach the buttons until I know if it will be for a girl or a boy (the project is knit with buttonholes on both sides).
I’m also attaching a picture of my cat wearing the sweater…lol.
Knit on size 6 needles with Encore DK in a lovely buttery yellow color.
Yours looks great, And you can make more as your baby grows. I made one in worsted weight and it fits my 18 month old grand daughter. I did it in odds and ends of my leftovers so it is quite funky.
Thanks to everyone for your compliments!!! :yay: You all are so sweet.
It really WAS fun to knit. We got this extra printout with her newsletter pattern that had row-by-row instructions – it made it MUCH easier to follow (for me, lol) and it was so much fun to knit.
The cat (his name is Claw) didn’t seem to care when I put the sweater on him and then rolled him onto his back to take the pic, lol. I just love him.
HAHAHAHA. Oh my gosh, That cat is so funny. That is like my kitty cat (his name is double trouble). He just lets me do whatever i want with him (nothing mean, i just like to dance with him and hug him and such)
That’s a nice sweater and i bet the second the baby is born you’ll say “oh, FINALLY… go get the sweater”
Nice job on your first project! It is adorable and you have one fancy cat there! When you get ready to buy buttons, try this place. It has a spectacular selection. Oh, and last but certainly not least, CONGRATS ON THE PREGNANCY!!! I know you must be thrilled.
