The EZ Surprise Jackets (now in all sizes from baby to adult!) are an intriguing challenge. I had them on my list, but helped a friend do one for her grandson and no longer feel the need to do one myself. The various project notes on Ravelry helped a lot, and there are also now tons of videos. The most helpful thing for ME was one that showed how to make a mini mock-up in paper, which clarified what parts of what you were knitting turned into what parts of the garment…which is NOT at all obvious.

I’ve made a couple and found markers a lifesaver!
Totally! I color-coded my friend’s markers so she could remember how to fold it. THESE are the shoulders…the pink goes to pink, and the green goes to green, and VOILÁ! Sleeves!
