I made/am making these for charity. I wanted to make socks with some wool I had and then thought up the idea of felting the foot part only while they were completely made. It worked fairly well, but needs some tweaking. I wrapped a pony tail holder at the ribbed edge then put a baggie over it and another ponytail holder. Then I got the foot part really wet and squished out some of the water and put them in a lingerie bag with some wet towels/jeans in the dryer. Tada! They did end up with some slight ridging so next time I’m going to stuff the foot part a little and see if that works.

that is an interesting idea. did you make the foot a lot bigger? I never felted anything. a little afraid to I guess!
Because these are for charity I didn’t bother worrying about size too much. They will no doubt fit someone. :teehee:
For some reason I have yet to figure out the way I did these the foot part is rather large around, but it works out well for felting!
