I’m glad I didn’t keep you up! Sometimes I think I could knit all night–unfortunately, naps are few a far between for me lately.
www.bartlettyarns.com has blaze orange worsted weight wool, mule spun. I have some of their Glenn Tweeds and they are great. Plus a handful of farms I know right around here sell them their fleece.
When I first went back to work last year, my body clock told me that night time was work time, so I couldn’t sleep at night on my days off. I had picked up some Christmas yarn and a freebie pattern for a crocheted table topper done in motifs. I finished the whole thing {except ends} in one night while staying up and watching TV!!! Luckily, I don’t seem to have that problem anymore… I can sleep just about anytime, anywhere now.
I have a clown phobia and that is the only Steven King book/movie I HATE. I am at work looking at this, but I go home and to bed at 06:00am. I will be reading one of my son’s Sesame Street books before going to sleep. I could even sleep well after watching Amityville Horror!
Darn evil clowns! Think happy smiley overdose-on-sweetness- thoughts… flowers…babies…hugs…killing clowns…
Jeez, now my mind is filled with knit one, purl one, clown, aah!
But I do love that glowing sweater idea. Bugs…cool! reptiles…cool!
Can’t wait to see it.
Ok, off to get some therapy now. Hot fudge sundae, here I come!
Ok, so what is the name for fear of clowns? I’d say ugly make-up and hair guy-ophobia…but I’m not really afraid of my uncle George…so I don’t know.
Coulrophobia- Fear of clowns.
I play a trivia game on IRC, and many of the questions we answer are names of the various phobias.
Sorry for triggering you the other day with my post. ![]()
If we keep posting on this page, eventually It will be moved up and away.
Love the comment about your uncle! :roflhard:
I was gone for a day, and look at all the insight and info.
Thanks!
That’s ok, my therapist says I should just buy LOTS yarn and knit as often as possible.
So I am off to take a closer look at that neon yarn for some beanies and scarves. Don’t laugh, this is my mental health at stake here!
Now if I can just convince DH’s checkbook of that, I’ll be just fine!
p.s. don’t tell uncle George about this. He’s good at giving money gifts for my birthday. :shifty:
I checked out some of the fluorescent yarns and they look good. Fairly affordable too!
Let us know if they are soft. My nephews might like them for a hat. ![]()
Well if lots of yarn and lots of knitting :XX: {and crocheting too for me!} are the best therapy, I have enough here to keep myself and my next 3 generations Prozac-free! :roflhard:
Now if I can just convince DH’s checkbook of that, I’ll be just fine!
All I do is remind DH about some of his half-started hobbies that he has in various “safe places” around the house, and how much he spends a weekend on golf, and then trot off to the LYS!!!
Besides, if I go shopping at WM for supplies, I get my staff discount!!! :happydance:
p.s. don’t tell uncle George about this. He’s good at giving money gifts for my birthday.
I accept STR
as bribes… PM me for forwarding address info and colour preferences!
Well, if you meant brightly colored yarn, I know Caron has a line…maybe its simply brights…anyways, I saw it at my walmart this evening so you could check there. Red Heart also has some really bright colors.
Sorry the yarn Im naming is cheap but none of my craft stores carry really expensive yarn…
