So, I’ve been challenged to make a pattern for this sweater. I figure, if I can find a good scale pattern and a basic plain sweater pattern that is that style (thin, longer, collar, etc) than I have a pretty good basis for making it. He wants it in orange though so I’m thinking yarn weight will probably be 3? Thoughts? Help? TIA!!!
One of these might work for the scales. You’re a brave soul to take on knitting that many scales!
The designer Lynne Barr creates unusual texture patterns.
There’s reference here to a book for machine knitters by Susan Guagliumi. This scale looks like it is formed in exactly the same way. Maybe something to research?
The sweater has a concealed zipper in the neck which may be due to reduced stretch in the textured knitting.
