First Ever FO! Just a Dishcloth

Woohoo! It’s my first ever completed project! It’s the Grandmother’s Favorite Dishcloth pattern, nothing too strenuous…but I’m so proud of it!

I learned everything from Amy’s videos…I can’t wait to move on to bigger and better things now. I’m still working on a boring garter stitch scarf (which was the first project I started) and I just began a pawprint dishcloth so I can learn the purl stitch…and then, with any luck, I will be UNSTOPPABLE! MWAHAHA!!!

ahem Or something. :woohoo:

Hey! You are on a roll now! Nice cloth. Welcome to knitting pleasure!

Congratulations! :cheering: It’s a great feeling, isn’t it? I made one just like that and we are still using it—even after 8 years! But don’t knock garter stitch; see my avatar picture to the left? It’s a scarf: garter stitch, with short rowing (EASY!!!) and some simple double crochet around the whole thing. And good luck on your next project(s)—you are unstoppable; just think, knit n’ purl, baby, knit n’ purl. :happydance:

Looks great. Keep up the good work.

That’s just about the only pattern I use for dishcloths now. It’s fast and easy! It looks great!:yay:

That looks great!:cheering:

Congrats!
Today; a dishcloth
tomorrow; the world!
Happy knitting.

Somebody stop her! (in a Jim Carey voice). WTG looks great! My grams always made her dishcloths in that same pattern.

Congratulations  It looks great! I made my first dishcloth with that yarn in that color too

It looks like your stitches are even, and you are doing yarnovers. That’s a fantastic first step. My first project was nowhere near that nice :aww:

Thanks, everyone! I can’t wait to come back with bigger and better things. Happy knitting to all!
