For some reason I just could not make myself finish this one. But I made myself do it and now wonder why I dragged my feet so.
This is Sirdar Open Ruffled Cardigan knit in Ocean. The ribbon yarn is unlike anything I have used before and gives a great squishy stretchy fabric. Knitting with it was not my favorite but I really like the result.
That’s a beautiful sweater!
Maybe knitting with the black yarn is what held you up? I find it harder to knit with and I tend to find other things to do instead. I’ve pretty much told everyone…don’t ask for black. I do like black sweaters though.
Ooh - that’s really nice! I agree - ribbon yarn is not the most fun to work with, but it really does make a neat FO!
:happydance: it looks wonderful, great fit!
The sweater looks very nice on you. Nice fit and all. I like the ruffled edge.
Do I detect a little green in the yard? The shadow shows that the tree is still in winter mode. I’m looking forward to spring.
Hi Ceci! Your sweater is fantastic!
I’ve never tried knitting a sweater using ribbon, but I’d sure like to! I saw a ribbon sweater at my LYS, and it looked so interesting! Yes, and squishy soft like you mentioned!
It looks wonderful on you
I really like it . I have not knitted wih ribbon before but maybe i will now
Love the way it turned out! Great pattern!!
:yay: :yay: :cheering: Great looking sweater, love the frilly, so feminine and you have a wonderful smile!
Looks very nice, I really like the frilly edge!
Thank you all.
I knit this in black because I thought I could wear it for performances. I am hoping my keys will not get stuck in the stitches when I lay my oboe down… Guess I’ll try it out at home before the shows this week.
Spring is just around the corner here - daffodils are blooming, trees are barely budding and the weeds are growing
Have a wonderful weekend :knitting:
WOW!
Now that’s what I call a beautiful sweater!![]()
It’s gorgeous… so glad you got it done.

Very pretty! I love the flair at the bottom. Looks great on you!
I’ve been wondering about knitting with that yarn, maybe I’ll do my next sweater with that yarn.
So, did your keys stick when you laid your oboe down? I always wanted to wear a sweater when playing cello, but found anything warm was too bulky.
The frilled bottom does look good.
It was too warm in the pit all week to wear it so I don’t know if the keys will get stuck or not. Maybe I will be in cooler halls this week and can try it out. I’ll report back
beautiful, I’m gla dyou got yourself to finish it, it looks great
