They’re outside either (a) drying or (b) soaking up the humidity. I had them last night in the basement near the dehumidifier and the outsides were nice and dry but the inside was SOAKING wet still. I’ll get a picture of them when I bring them in for the night.
Well I think I might be doing this right. I’m sending a picture of the clog I’m knitting. I now have to knit the cuff. I wanted to show the nice ladies that have been helping me through this. Did I get it? lol. Rebecca
Okay, okay, I have the patterns for the kids and adults. Got them in the mail today! Yea! I have the yarn at home to start working on them. I think I will start this weekend. Are you all knitting them in the round, or flat and then seaming them. I quickly looked at the pattern and it appears, if I remember right, that you can do them either way. I would think in the round would be easiest. Now, if I can remember to knit them right side out not in this time! Last time when I was doing the felted tote, I was knitting right side in. Mine are going to be a dark blue and a light blue with Reynolds Lopi, because I have it at home. I will have to sneak an order to KP this week and get some merino wool.
There are directions for knitting flat, but the pattern is really written for in the round. Plus you won’t have to seam. The soles are knit flat, though.

Yours didn’t look like that? It better be lol. It looked good to me, I just finished the cuff. Picked up the sts. for the second sole. I took some notes for next time. Thanks thanks. :happydance:
Kellyk Thanks much for your help. Will finished them and hopefully will felt by this weekend so I can post them. But if they look ugly will be my last pair.
I love these clogs you are are doing - my question is though (and probably an odd one) is that do they end up smelling? I had some LLBean felted clogs once and if they get wet/sweaty they STINK. I guess because these are all yarn (including the sole) you can wash them easily enough, but the ones I had had a hard sole so I had to toss them.
Your clogs are beautiful. Mine are not felted yet but I can tell by looking at yours that I did them right, mine has a roll in the cuff which I thought I did wrong. The second sole looks weird though, hopefully after felting that goes away. Got it done last night with all this heat. Will start the second one hopefully they will be the same size lol. Have to get to it before I forget how I did the first. My pea brain you know lol.
blueslady did yousee my post earlier about knitting the second sole? If you don’t knit them both the same way they will come out looking funky after felting. YOu either knit them both with the first sole facing UP, or facing down… but ifyou do one of each your bumper will be wierd looking. If you remember whatyou did for the first one, make a note or whatever so you do the same thing for the second clog!
Hi Hildigard
The pattern said to make the second one exactly the same so I did then since they have you pick up sts. around the first one, then I followed how to knit them using both circular needles without casting off. Then you do another row right? and that last row then casting off is what looks weird.
