Felted Bag...Finally FO!

The felted bag just came out of the washer!! :happydance: It’s my first time felting, so I was extremely nervous!!! And my DH kept asking…“is it done yet, is it done yet?” so I was so happy when after three cycles I could finally say “YES”! It looks great so far. I still have to trim it down to size, sew the handles on and seam up the sides, so now I can’t wait for it to dry, so I can finish it completely! As you can see…I’m so proud of myself! :cheering:

That’s so cute and you’re so pretty!

Good job! Can’t wait to see the FO. :cheering:

I love it :cheering: :cheering: Great job! I’m so happy to hear that your husband is interested & excited about watching the felting process, too…that’s fun :happydance: :happydance:

It looks awesome–you did a great job!!!

Very nice!! The letter looks great too-i would love it if my dh was so interested, lol!

Well, just LOOK how CUTE you are! You AND your bag! GREAT job on the colorwork!!

That’s very cute! I’ve only sewed them together before felting so this is neat, too!

Excellent job! You have every right to be proud of yourself. :cheering:

Oh, that looks great! Can’t wait to see it as a FO. The “K” on the bag is very nice.

My first project is done! :happydance: (I’ve finished two hats, but this was the first project I started) I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, and I’ve definitely learned how to correct the problems I had that I wasn’t too happy about. But for my first project I thought I did a pretty good job!

Now when is that KP order going to arrive so I can start my next project?!?!

:inlove: congratulations!!! very cute!!! :inlove:

cute cute cute :happydance: :happydance: :cheering:

Love it!! It looks great.

:cheering: Very nice!

I’m loving it!

Your bag is too cute.

My DH asked me “what do you want to get out of knitting?”. My reply was that I wanted to make a felted bag with my initial on it. Then I found your bag and just loved it. Why did I have to show him though??? Now he has an idea of what it’s actually supposed to look like.

I guess I will have to get busy with this. Did you use a pattern for your initial or was it free form? I haven’t done any intarsia yet and am very curious. Thanks.

I used a chart that was in the Paton’s book that I got the pattern from. I was a little disappointed with my bag, for several reasons, one because it was my first project, and they never seen to go like you planned, but it was a lot of fun, and I’m already planning one for my MIL and my SIL! The hard part is picking the color combinations!! And if you get the pattern book, there is also a change purse in there that you can make with the leftover yarn. Mine is still drying though. I should have it done this week, and then I’ll post a picture!
