Favorite most soft cotton yarn?

I want to make a friends daughter an apron top in soft cotton for the summer. Any yarn suggestions? Some of the cottons I’ve felt in the local craft stores feel a little scratchy.

Thanks!

Knit picks has some nice cottons. Shine is really nice and soft. Fun summery, girly colors too. Crayon is also cotton although I haven’t yet purchased any crayon so I can’t comment on how it feels.

The softest cotton I’ve ever laid my hands on is Manos del Uruguay Cotton Stria. Yuuuummmmm…but a bit pricey! I do like Knitpicks Shine – soft, pretty colors, and you can’t beat the price.

I really enjoyed knitting my niece’s swing top with Knitpck’s Shine…it is REALLY soft!

Bernat Cottontots is nice too.

I love cotton tots too–when I was preggo I had my mom make several blankets for dd. I just bought some blue and white cotton tots to make a friend some booties.

I like Cotton Classic.

100% cotton. it has a nice sheen.
IIRC it was about $5.50 per hank.

Another Manos Cotton Stria fan here! (and the colors are so saturated and yummy)

Another vote for CottonTots here with a side vote for Patons Grace. It’s a DK/sport weight and feels like heaven whether you are crocheting or knitting with it. It has a touch of sheen that gives it a classier look than typical cottons, and slides like butter through your fingers no matter how dry your skin is.

Thanks everyone! Decisions, decisions! Is it always this hard to choose yarn? I want it all!!!
