Error on V-neck

Hi ladies….my pattern is Deep v-neck sweater by Erica Knight. First time using circular needles for v-neck and after doing 2 rows of ribbing, I’ve somehow twisted the top of the right shoulder seam when I laid it flat. Pattern says to sew right shoulder seam before starting neckband. If I unpick the right shoulder seam would this rectify the “twist”? Also, am I doing the neckband ribbing neatly as the more I look at it I’m getting confused.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Could you post a photo off the problem? I might not be the only one who doesn’t quite understand.

I posted pics after I submitted but looks like it didn’t go through. Will try again.

Very nice sweater with lovely even knitting!
Yes, unpick the shoulder seam and that will let you untwist the join. It’s easy to do this when you’re close to finishing the last steps.
Sometimes the ribbing doesn’t look neat until you’ve worked a few rows. Are you using a smaller needle for the ribbing? That can help tighten and neaten up the rib.

Yes, I’m using a smaller needle for all the ribbing (3.25mm). Do you suggest going down another size?

Will unpick shoulder seam and will do a few more rows to see if ribbing becomes neater. Not happy with the way it looks at present.

First time I’ve knitted a sweater as I’ve always knitted cardigans.

Try a few more rows on the ribbing to see if it becomes more even, as you suggest. That often solves the problem. If it’s still not as you prefer, try a needle size down or at least try a swatch to see how that needle size and rib look.

Thanks for the tips Salmonmac.
