I just picked up Sally Melvile’s book at Joann’s. I was flipping through it in the store and saw the pattern for the Einstein coat. I had seen pics online while surfing for easy beginner projects. I love it! The book and the coat!
I’m in FL, but we usually go to the mountains in the fall
I think I’d like to do it in a worsted weight yarn (still learning about all the exciting choices available and what would be suitable for what project). I like Patons Katrina (maybe Oyster or Med. Blue??) or Sheltland Chunky in Taupe or Deep Red?? Decisions, decisions…time, time, time…$$$
I’d be interested in a KAL; How many projects are too many? Sounds like fun!

The book has a not so heavy version of the Einstein jacket, which you may want to check out if you live in FL. It seems everyone on Ample-Knitters ('cept me) has knitted that jacket. I love it and am going to make it if I every get the nerve to really knit something for myself.
