Edge tension on two-color brioche scarf

I’m currently knitting a two-color brioche scarf. This is my first time using the brioche stitch, and it’s going pretty well, except for my one problem: I’m not a loose knitter, and I’m slipping the first stitch of each row on my scarf, but the edge tension at the beginning of the 2nd main color row is VERY loose (this is row 3 of 4 and is a knit row) and looks really bad. Holding the tension quite tight when knitting that edge isn’t making any difference. If both edges of the scarf were loose like that, it wouldn’t be a problem, because it would look deliberate. But the other edge is looking only slightly loose and will probably even out when blocked.

I’d appreciate any suggestions that might help me fix this tension problem.

Welcome to Knitting Help!
I’ve made a couple of blankets in brioche stitch. I purled the last stitch of the row, slipped the first stitch of the next row knitwise and that seemed to create a nice even edge…

Thanks! I’ll give that a try.
