I am knitting a child’s sweater. My daughter in law wants me to knit an"e" on the chest. Someone told me it would be easier to knit the sweater and then use the duplicate stitch for the letter. Need guidance.
I looked though the results of a Google search for
duplicate stitch how to knit". I thought this one was pretty clear.
You can look at your sweater and determine how many stitches tall you want the E to be. You might like to print out some knitters graph paper (there are sites that have this available) and design your E on that or do the marking right on the sweater with water soluable ink like Purl Bee suggested. You’ll probably want to center it on the chest.
