Yeah it’s not be best, but it’s not the worst either so I shouldn’t complain too much!
I hope I can finish that BSJ soon if there’s not too many mistakes in it :doh::oops: I will definitely be making another one even if the first one doesn’t turn out so well.
I seem to learn the most about knitting when I have to frog a project. I have always learned more from my mistakes than my successes :teehee: Hang it there, the next one will be better.

Yuk. Feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning. I’ve got a cold I think and I had stomach pains last night which meant I didn’t sleep well, then I was sick this morning :pout:
I’ve just managed to eat some breakfast so I’m off back to bed for a doze before lunch then I think I’ll be staying in bed and knitting or reading until Shane (my son, he always goes to see his grandparents on a Tuesday and Friday) is brought home.
So no definite knitting mission this week apart from trying to at least finish the baby blanket (it’s nearly done!) and maybe another UFO. I’ve decided that I should start trying to make at least one small present a week for Christmas…but we’ll see. I really don’t want to be stressing myself out too much but I can see that happening if I’m not careful.

I like the look of the scarf. If they were all done in different yarns, colours etc they would make lovely presents. You have set me thinking now…
Oh, I like those patterns a lot. They would save me a lot of time compared to what I was thinking about knitting for c-mas this year. I’m struggling with should I knit for DH’s family or not. They don’t appreciate it but I feel obligated to knit something. Good ideas, thanks for sharing.
Since they don’t appreciate things I’d not knit something too complicated. If they do use dishcloths then that’s an idea. Some people are just so hard!!:hair:
That reminds me of an episode of “Everybody Love Raymond” where Debra finds a bra in her clean laundry that belongs to her MIL. She then gives it to her for C-mas because she thinks that it is something that Marie will like. But Marie says, “well it’s not really my style.” Once again Debra can do nothing to please her difficult MIL. That’s how it is for me and my in-laws :gah: I guess that I’m more stubborn than I want to admit because I keep trying to get along with them even though I know deep down that there is no way to win them over.
What about either skipping the knitting for them or doing something small and maybe just adding a GC to a restaurant they like?
I’m not knitting anything for my family except maybe something small for my girls. My family is just too hard to please. My 3 bros and I have stopped gift exchanges to make it easier on all of us both mentally and financially which is no small burden. :doh: I do get a little something for my nieces and nephews. Hmm… those balls I linked to on :think:your blog might be cool for my nephews…

I’ve finished knitting the blanket! :cheering: I just need to attempt to block it now. I’ve only tried blocking one before so I hope I do better this time!

It’s not very big at all really as I only had 2 balls in each colour of that yarn. I made it for use in the carseat mainly or it could be used in the pram.

I like the little dungarees you made as well, and that gorgeous blanket speaks for itself. It’s a lovely colour combination, green and gold and the butterfly motifs are especially beautiful. It looks great now, never mind it’ll look better when it’s been blocked.
I mainly stick to knitting little cardigans and jumpers but I would like to knit a little pair of mittens for Neve this winter - if I get stuck, could I give you a shout? I’ve never knitted socks either … hmm.
I hope you’re feeling a bit better today and that your tummy gives you a break and behaves itself.

I’m feeling worse today. As well as the sore throat I now have a full blown cold. At least I have a quiet day until 4pm today. We went out to Tesco and Boots last night and got me some throat anaesthetic spray and I somehow ended up with ‘Let’s Knit!’ and ‘Simply Knitting’ in my trolley :?? :teehee:
