Ok so maybe this is a silly question, but how do I get my measurements correctly, most specifically the bust. I have seen different answers and I am just confused. Some have said under the bust and others say around the biggest part of the bust. Please help. Any other measuring tips would be appreciated as well. Thanks!:wall:
I measure the fullest part of the bustline.
When trying to figure out what size to knit…be sure to ascertain if the pattern’s measurement is YOUR BUST MEASUREMENT, or the FINISHED SIZE (of the garment) BUST MEASUREMENT.
Definitely the largest part of the bust.
And it’s more accurate if you measure a sweater that fits like the pattern (snug, loose) across the largest part, just under the arms. You might be surprised, a lot of sweaters that we think fit nicely have a couple inches of negative ease, smaller than our actual bust measurement.
