Double Point Needles-I'm DOING IT!

I’ve struggled with this little problem for awhile, the needles just slide right out of my stitches. THen I had the grand notion to buy bamboo ones, and they’re not as slippery, and I worked about 10 rows last night without losing a stitch. I’m so happy. :cheering:

:cheering: :cheering: is right!

I had that same feeling not too long ago, when I finally was able to knit with dpns too!! Isn’t it great??!! :cheering:

good suggestion–I have a friend w/ the same problem!

Congrats on getting it!

OMG!!! I was just about to post almost the same exact message! I have been trying and trying with the DPNs, and I finally got it this morning! Yay for DPN success!!! :cheering:

 Hooray!

Bamboo is definitely the way to go! I’ve tried steel and plastic and it’s a sad state of affairs…

I have metal and plastic ones and I hate them. I need to get the bamboo.

YaY!!! Good for you!!! :happydance: Bamboo is definitely my favorite. I think for me it was also a matter of figuring out which needle to put over or under the other as I knit on the two in my hands. Then I had to remember to tug a bit as I began the second stitch on the needle to prevent laddering. Now it is automatic, and it will be for you soon. I used to think I didn’t like dps, but I sure do now! samm

Congrats!!! Thank you for the tip!! Just last night I started “trying” with the metal ones and I had to drop the project… I will get the bamboo ones and try again…

Again… Congrats!!! :cheering:
