I have just had my King Charles Cavalier down the vets because she had a grass seed stuck in her foot. They had to operate to remove it and it cost £120, the same think happened last year.
I have decided to try and make her some booties so she won’t have to go through this painful procedure again. Anybody have any idea where you can find a pattern for dog booties. I would imagine they would need a little shaping to make them stay on her paws plus a tie maybe an I-cord.
Or maybe you have made your own and could give me some advise on how to design my own. Was thinking that maybe it would be a good idea to felt them and make them a bit sturdy.
Here’s something that might help you at least get started…I found
this pattern a few days ago on Ravelry when I was looking for
princess stuff. Good thing it was recent or I would have never
remembered what I was searching when I saw this pattern hahaha…
I have a greyhound and I’m constantly on a chat room that talks about them. Now, you may not have this issue but, with a greyhound, well, they RUN. When they run little booties go plink - plink - plink - plink and they’re off and flying!!! The best solution anyone has found so far is a baby’s sock which is not expensive and taping on with medical tape at the top. The size is just right. I wouldn’t make a sock for the dog since this for medical reasons, they could lick the wound and get inbetween the stitches of knitting unless you use a really, really small needle. Go with something already made.
