Does this sound familiar?

A friend asked on another board for help finding a scarf pattern. She saw a scarf IRL and wanted to make it, but isn’t haveing any luck. This is her description:

It was simple, no pattern in the knitting, but in the center lengthwise it looked like it had a seam of sorts. Whatever they did in the center gave the scarf a slightly ruffled look on each side.

it wasn’t ruffled on the edges, but whatever they did in the center cause a very slight gather so that it wasn’t a flat scarf from the center. But it wasn’t as dramatic as the one’s I’ve been able to find.

Any ideas??? [edited to add…I looked on Ravelry under scarves with ruffles, but don’t find anything similar]

Did your friend take a picture? It really helps when we can see what she saw.

Unfortunately, no. I pointed out to her that it’s awfully hard to find something on just such a description. :frowning: But I thought it was worth a shot to ask, just in case.

It could be easily adapted for less gathers or wider space between them. You could also do it lengthwise instead of this way if you could figure out the cast on.
