Does this mean I'm a little looney?

I think Dave Barry or someone said something like there was a fine line between having a hobby and being crazy.

I knit a cup cake from One Skein. It is very cute. It has no purpose other than looking cute. At this point it is not for anyone. My husband hasn’t said but I think he thinks I’ve gone a little wacko. My only justification for knitting it is that it uses up little left overs, it’s a very fast knit, and it makes me happy. Is that reason enough??

More details on my Ravelry page.

I’m going to go cast on another…

I think it’s adorable!!! My two charges would argue over who got to play with it first.

:teehee: It’s really cute!

It’s absolutely wonderful and looks delicious! No explanation needed whatsoever! I just love the buttons and ribbing detail on the sides… the frosting is fabulous!

[COLOR=“DarkOrchid”]I think it looks yummy!
Tell yourself it’s the kind of cupcake that gives all the pleasure and none of the fat… :teehee: Besides - reasoning such a thing is really over-rated!

Not looney, creative! That is adorable and what a great way to use up those leftovers. And it serves the best purpose of all, making you smile!:happydance:

so cute n lovely …thnsk

Looks good enough to eat !

That looks adorable. I have thought about making one for a friend on a diet.

Cute mindless knitting does not mean you are crazy, and the nurses like me to do it as they clean the padding on the wall, floor and ceiling in my room.

:roflhard:  :roflhard:

I think it is just adorable! I just knit a bunny and had to think long and hard who I was going to give it to lol!!

Very cute!! :yay:

:teehee: Chris

Its so cute. My little girl would love to play cook with it.

Lots of people knit “food”. Go look at Lionbrand.com and you’ll find a ton of patterns for all kinds of food. It’s fun, uses up left overs, and the added benefit is you get to knit!!.. I was wondering though if you might be able to make it functional also by maybe soaking a piece of the filler material in a cupcake or vanilla sent and letting it dry then placing it in the middle of your next one, that way it would also give off some scent when people handled it, cause, be honest now… who here wouldn’t pick it up and handle it?! It’s gorgeous!

Looks good enough to eat! Not looney.

Bambi

Just tell him it’s art, which it is! It’s beautiful!

I think it’s adorable! Any chance you could utilize it as a pin cushion? It would be the cutest pin cushion alive!

You are just as looney as the rest of us LOL. It is so darn cute, I just love it. I am a big lover of all things baked so that one is right up my alley. Good job.

If you are making more and have the glass cake covers you could put them on display, just because they are cute, and the display won’t be eaten up by anyone. Just an idea.

Kelly, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Make a bunch of them with different color “papers” and display them on a decorative plate!! It’s adorable!
