I saw a lovely photo today that said the piece was made by using the “raspberry stitch.” It had a pretty texture that looked a little like raspberries all over the surface. Can anyone tell me how to do this stitch? I think it is a knitting stitch, but maybe it is a crochet stitch! Please help! It is so pretty. Thank you very much!
Do you know the "raspberry" stitch?
Here’s one - http://www.knitting-and.com/wiki/Raspberry_Stitch
It’s knit, but does look a little like crochet. Here’s the google search page - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=Qx2&q=raspberry+stitch&btnG=Search
I found a blackberry stitch that goes like this:
(multiple of 4 stitches)
Inc 2: K1, p1, k1 in one stitch
Rows 1 and 3 (RS): Purl
Row 2: *P3tog, inc 2; rep from * to end
Row 4: *Inc 2, p3tog; rep from * to end
Rep rows 1-4
I just finished a hat that used the “popcorn” or “berry” stitch; the twist is that rather than P3tog, I K3tbl. It seemed easier to me.
