Hello I am new to this forum, I am trying to teach myself to knit so I can make dishcloths. I crochet but knitting is new to me, I have started so many dishcloths but when I make a mistake I am done. I have tried to figure out how to fix it with the videos but just cannot seem to get it. So I was wondering if they make a loom for dishcloths maybe I can do that. Thank you
I suppose if you found a loom that worked well with cotton yarn and gave you a good ‘fabric’ you certainly can use it.
I do want to say that when I’m making dishcloths for myself, I don’t worry so much about mistakes. Just so I get the finished size I like (usually at least 5"x5" but not much bigger then 7"x7") I rather enjoy the mistakes as learning experiences.
It may be better to tell us what problems you’re having with knitting a cloth, that way you can learn from it.
I agree. Why don’t you just do a one or two plain garter stitch dishcloths to practice the knit stitch. Then try one with both purl and knit, etc… We can help. ![]()
