Do 16" circular needles in size 19 exist? UPDATE!

do es such a needle type exist? How about in size 35? thanks!

Daisy (Crystal Palace) makes double pointed needles in 17, 19 and 35!!! You can order them at Yarn Market!

Ta-da!

but there are not any 16" in size 19 but there are in size 17

:frowning: I didn’t look that closely. I just bought 17’s from here for a Kitty Pi bed, so it was still in my mailbox.

how are the size 17s to use in a 16" length? i would think at those sizes the cord would be a little hard to work with.

I should have said I got them in the 32" length–I had a hard time finding circs that big and was happy to find that site. I splurged and got Addis because I know I’ll have them forever. They have a tube instead of a cord. It makes the transition onto the needles easier, but it’s kind of weird not to have very loose stitches between the needles.

I bought two and did two circs for the bed. I couldn’t imagine working with dpns that big.

oh yeah i have a pair of 17s that are long …not addis though, that tube just seems odd to me! :rofling:

i don’t know mailgirl, i can’t help but think that the size of the needles would be nearly impossible to work with a 16" cord. Manipulating them i think would be difficult.

I have 16" size 11. I really like them. I was able to use them with 100 sts down to 16 sts then I switched to DPNs.

Hi Mailgirl,

I ordered U.S. 35s from this place: http://www.stitchdiva.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=EDJE05 I see that he makes 19s too.

This guy makes absolutely beautiful handmade needles–they are as smooth as butter! AND they are not over priced. The shipping was fast too.

Hope it helps!

bump!

i was wondering something about this. if the pattern calls for cercs can you use DPns instead? i mean if its like a hat, something that isn’t to big. or is there a reason for the difference that i don’t see?

As long as the stitches fit on the dpns, you can use them instead of circs.
