Can anyone direct me to a website that compares different types of wools used in yarn? I’d like to learn more so that I make good selections for the things I want to knit.
TIA,
Marge

Something like the Craft Yarn Council of America’s site, maybe?
Or more like Yarn Forward’s web page on gauge/tension?
Or do you mean something more like Sheep 101? Just about every nation that raises wool sheep has a website out there to promote their sheep, so Google if you want info on a certain kind of sheep.
Oh, and I just ran across this info on British sheep on I Knit’s website!
Knitter’s Review is another good source for yarn info, and how different yarns knit up, and the pros and cons.
In addition to the websites given this book is great! I got it for Christmas and like it a lot. I know they have it at the library here so maybe you can check it out where you live.
