Did I do it wrong?

I’m knitting my first scarf, and it’s for a charity. I’m using size 10 needles and all of my rows are 36 stitches each. The scarf looks quite large, but it looks like a good size if you fold it in half length-wise.

My questions is this: should I start the scarf over with fewer stitches per row, or should I keep making it the way I am?

I would think if it is a charity scarf, the recipient will be someone wanting to keep warm. I say go for it the way it is. At least the person will get a nice warm hug from you every time he/she wears it!

That’s a great way of thinking about it  Thank you
