Apologies am back yet again, do I just knit 2 together each side of marker shaping top back side of hood or do I Dec as on a raglan shaping k2 tog and the other side k2 tog through back of loop?it’s the waheca sweater.
I can’t say I am sure on this but it sounds like mirrored decreases would be the best choice if its central on the hood. A k2tog and ssk (or ssktbl).

Honestly it can be which even side you want because how they lean in or out is a personal choice on what you like. If you have some other work with decreases it may help you decide, or make a swatch. But yes I’d prob do ssktbl before marker and k2tog after.
If you don’t mind which way they lean just be consistent for the whole section so it’s even.
