Hi, I’m knitting a baby blanket, “mykeepsake blanket” by Anne Hageus. I have one too many stitches in stockinette part- where is best to decrease- beside the garter border or middle of row please?
Does it really matter? If you can’t see where it happened, you could just continue with the new number of stitches. Or, if you CAN see where it happened, you can work back to that spot and drop the extra stitch, then redistribute the excess yarn across the row.
It probably doesn’t matter even considering the number design but given a choice I would decrease in the middle somewhere rather than at the garter border.
Many thanks x
I’d leave it as it is, or else go back the few rows to fix it at the start of the stitch change.
It’s such a big piece of work that I’d feel it was well worth the extra few rows work to fix it.
