Decrease Help

Hi all!

Me again, with my Sirdar Vintage Cardigan pattern. (https://www.etsy.com/listing/1496261333/mans-easy-cardigan-waistcoat-raglan?show_sold_out_detail=1&ref=nla_listing_details)

I am working on the Left Front panel and there are some kind of confusing decrease frequencies and I was wondering if someone could please give me a hand at simplifying them.
The pattern reads:
Work 50 rows dec once at
armhole edge in next and every alt row at
same time dec once at front edge in 1st and every following 8th row. 7 sts.
Work 8 rows dec once at armhole
edge only in next and every alt row. 3 sts.

That does seen more complicated than what is usually written. I think it would be helpful to see exactly what the pattern says. Punctuation such as comma placement might make a difference. Vintage pattern instructions are often written very differently than current patterns. Here’s a search I did on Ravelry. Maybe one of these patterns can help.

I like that I tells you how many rows to work.

Starting with row 1.
For the armhole edge (next and every alt) dec on rows 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19… and so on.
At the same time:
For the neck edge (1st and every following 8th) dec on rows
1, 9, 17, 25, 33, 41, 49

Work row 50. 7 sts remaining

Then
Work 8 rows (start counting at row 1 again)
At the armhole edge dec on rows
1, 3, 5, 7

Work row 8. 3 sts remaining.
