I am having difficulty with the directions for Debbie Bliss Shawl Collared Jacket. Working on the shawl collar, I have completed the 6th turning row (see direction in attached photo) and not sure what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Elaine
Welcome to the forum!
The previous short rows have all had you turn after an additional 4sts from the last turn. Continue to follow that pattern turning after 4 additional sts past your last turn. Once you’ve completed these rows, you’ll work to the end of the row.
Hi, this is Lisa and I am having difficulty with the same Debbie Bliss Shawl Collared Jacket pattern that Elaine has previously posted about but a slightly different question. I will refer to her attached photo.
After the pick up of stitches around the front edges and collar, the pattern says:
“Beg with 2nd row, work 1 row in rib as given for back.” I think this means I should refer to the back instructions and do a ribbing pattern but I am confused on how many rows to work in that pattern and then when to start the next set of instructions in bold starting with:
1st row (right side)etc**.**
Thank you to anyone who can clarify this section of the pattern for me. Best regards, Lisa

The picked up sts are worked in the same rib pattern as for the back for one row (should be a wrong side row). Then start the instructions beginning “1st row (right side) Rib 92(98:104) sts, turn.” The following instructions are for short rows to extend the collar at the back of the neck.
