Quite often buttons are place about 1/4 inch from the top of the front band and 1/4-1/2 inch from the bottom with the other buttons distributed equally between.
Thanks. I wasn’t sure if there was a band at the top but reading the pattern I think there is.
Not at all clear from the photo, that’s for sure. If you want to check you can post a few lines of the pattern. Just don’t give us a large portion of it due to designer copyright.
