Debate on: Skirts (have you ever made one, would you wear

Check out this free pattern at Elann. It would be okay even for those of us who aren’t size 2!

shimmered and swished

now THAT sounds good. ahhhh I remember the days I used to wear stuff like that!

Ok, so I don't follow rock bands so much. Actually I never did.

But U2 is not bad. (I thought that WAS Peev!) (Really) Ha.

Oh Yvonne, yeah I love that skirt! I think that’s included in my first post… (whoops, no it’s not but I have seen that skirt…) I am just so not ready to begin another lace project. I just finished my first one ever, a shrug in Interweave Magazine that was relatively easy lace, and it took forever it seems. My digital camera got lost (or stolen) so I can’t post a picture of it til I get another one. Come to think of it though, I really want to make that skirt… just not now. It would be beautiful for not too freezing weather. hmmmmmmm

The elann skirt is stunning! I’m in love :inlove:

I wonder if it’ll be hard to make; I know it says “intermediate” for the skill level but I haven’t really figured out how skilled “intermediate” really is

It’s definitely high on my “projects to make”-list though so it seems I need to look into my finances and see if I can find that particular type of yarn in Holland aswell. sigh

I’ve only been back on the list for like 3 days and I’m already trying to decide if not eating for a week or two so I can buy yarn will be an option

Yes, I definitely would… especially that Elann skirt… <drooling>

Surely upping the sizing wouldn’t be that hard…

Hehe…

I’ve looked at the rollerskating one off Knitty too…

Once I drop to a size 14/16 (aus) then knitted skirts are on!

Hmmmm, I was just looking at that pattern to see exactly how HARD it really is.

It definitely will take a LOT OF CONCENTRATION!

Does anyone know, what’s the difference between YO and YF?

I mean, if you bring the yarn forward then when you knit the next stitch it’s just like a yarn over isn’t it? Time to do some research…

not that I"m going to make this skirt right now! Wouldn’t it be a beautiful Christmas skirt though? ! (especially if you could afford to do it not in the rayon/cotton they have the pattern in but say a silk blend…)
