Crochet fingerless gloves

Does anyone know if fingerless gloves/mittens can be donated? Ive been making lots of hats and scarves but I want something different. Also, if yes what are some good size inclusive patterns crochet wise? I know I can search, but just wondering if anyone has a go too.

I’m sure that charities and schools would be delighted with fingerless mitts. You can check with the group to make sure.
There are so many variations including ones with a fold over flap that would be fun to crochet.

I’ve only made knitted fingerless gloves or mitts. I don’t know if they’re accepted for donation or not. The size you’d want to make would depend on where they were going and to whom they would be given.

Maybe ring your local shelter or food kitchen and ask if they would like some?
I know my local food bank donation warehouse accepts all sorts of things in addition to food. Food used to be the only thing accepted but they now have a large room with children’s toys and good quality shoes and coats. I asked before i handed things in and gave them the option to decline because they have limited storage space and they know what they need.
If they decline just try ringing somewhere else. We have a children’s school uniform donation hub near us too and although i doubt they’d want to take in hundreds of pairs of gloves or mitts or scarves, I’m sure they would be very glad of a dozen or so for those kids who just don’t have woolies for winter. Many of the schools here have specific uniform but not specific coat/scarf/gloves so there is flexibility in the knitwear colours.

Good luck finding a place, I’m sure someone will be super grateful.
