I made a headband and didn’t notice till I cast off that 3 stitches on the border are stockinette when they should be garter. Does anyone have a visual diagram of how I can put duplicate stitches on to fake it? I saw one person on reddit suggested picking up some of the stitches with the needle to work the 2 rows needed around them, but it was unclear which stitches to pick up or where to put the duplicate work. Please help -this is supposed to be a gift. (tip of blue needle is pointing to the incorrect area in the photo below)
