Counting stiches

I’m making a two needle hat. I have 80 stiches on my needles and now I need to shape the hat. Rnd1 K3 * K2tog,K10,sl 1, k1, psso, k6, rep from * ending w/K3. I keep ending up with 11 stiches left on my needle. Where am I off??

I’m not sure how you’re getting 11 left, but when I work it out on paper, you should be doing the first k3, three repeats using the 20 stitches between the *'s and then the final stitches will only use theK2tog,K10,sl 1, k1,psso part of the repeat, since your final k3 and first k3 will account for the k6 that’s in the full repeat.

So you’d have k3, (K2tog,K10,sl 1, k1, psso, k6) 3 times, ( K2tog,K10,sl 1, k1, psso), k3.
