i don’t know why i can’t get these instructions down! here’s my 3rd question for my 1st sweater…
the pattern says:
next row (rs): pattern to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1
working all front slope decreases as set by last row, dec 1 st at front slope edge of 2nd and foll 11 alt rows and at same time inc 1 st at beg of 8th row
does that mean i should dec 1 at the beg & k2 tog, k1? do i k2 tog, k1 on every row & do i just do 1 inc on the 8th row only?

If it is, work all right side rows this way and work even on ws rows.

ANd increase and the beginning of the 8th row.
you have me decreasing every other row but the instructions say the 2nd and FOLL 11 ALT. ROWS…
and…do i do both decreases?

Alternate rows are every other rows. Think of it as saying 'dec second row from now and then every other row 11 times more. This gets you back to the right side so you can do the neck decreases at the end.
When they say to pattern to the last 3 stitches, that usually means that you’re going to continue doing whatever you have been --including any decreases at the beginning of the rows, and as you continue them, you’re also decreasing at the front edge.
