Nisse (Neesa) are gnomes. I love these three little knitting nisse. I have to be nice to them so they don’t cause mischief in my knitting basket.
I went to two knitting shops and loved everything in both of them.
I purchased a Hanne Falkenburg kit for Plisse … pleats… with pink yarn and got wool and cotton made in Denmark. The purple (hur) is hemp. The store name is the word under the yarn name.
I also saw castles and fairy tale “sites” of Hans Christen Andersen. If any of you have read “Number the Stars” by Lois Lowery about Danish Jews being helped across to Sweden in 1940 - 43, it takes place in Copenhagen. I took all kinds of pictures of places mentioned in the book to use in my library classes next year … it even mentions knitting mittens.
