Completely Lost w/the Crisscross stitch pattern

Hi everyone…

I’m looking at the Oct 31, 2007 Crisscross Stitch Pattern in my Stitch-a-Day Calendar.
Love the pattern, want to make a cowl w/it… AND I have absolutely NO IDEA what this means:

Row 1: Knit each stitch in row with a double wrap?

huh?

I’m going to check you tube. I’ve already searched google, ravelry, everywhere I could think of…

If it’s what I think it means (i’ve shot row wrapped a stitch before so wld this be doing that twice to EACH STITCH)… yeah it’s a nice pattern but I’m not nuts…

I may have just answered myself here! hahah
Happy knitting everyone!:yay:

When you knit into a stitch, you wrap the yarn around the needle. For this you wrap the yarn, then wrap again. On the next row you probably let the extra wrap drop off the needle before you knit the stitch.

suzeeq… you ROCK… that made soooo much sense!!! (i think you should do the editing for the patternaday folks)!
much thanks!
Col

It’s just that some patterns are more clearly written than others. I’ve seen all kinds…
