I am knitting a patriotic shawl using a basket weave pattern. I am using gray as the overall color with wide stripes of red, white and blue at each end. Unfortunately my second skein of red for the other side is not the same shade. At this point the only options I can think of is omitting the red stripe and finish the opposite side in the navy blue? Any thoughts? I wish I could attach a photo.
I hate when that happens. Are the shades really noticeable? I would go with ur gut maybe get some colour pens and figure out different ways and what it will look like
You mean they are a different dye lot? How must difference in color is there? Sometimes when the color )difference is subtle you can alternate the two and it will work. It may leave a subtle stripe, but that can be nice, too.
