Anyone have a simple pattern for a nice one. I’m still a novice at knitting so I don’t think I can do button holes!
Thank you in advance
Here are a bunch to choose from http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/search#query=coffee%20cup%20cozy
Of course you can do buttonholes! They are just casting off and casting on. Simple. Don’t ever be afraid to try new things–all the help you need is right here!
Coffee cups can be so individual anyway, it’s hard to find one cozy pattern that fits all. You might have a dainty teacup size one. You might have a honking big one that will hold two cups of coffee at a time, like mine. It’s basically a rectangle. Measure your cup from top to bottom where you would like the cozy to line up. Measure it around the cup from one side of the handle to the other side. Cast on and knit a simple rectangle to that size. You can crochet a chain stitch or attach ribbons and tie it on the mug if you wish. You can also seam it part way on the top and bottom, leaving a space for the coffee cup handle. Slide it on.
