I am [U]NOT[/U] posting this to start a discussion on anyone’s beliefs or viewpoints, I [U]ONLY[/U] want to share this information in case anyone is interested and wants to participate.

Why CODEPINK needs knitters:

“Calling all CODEPINK knitters! We are creating a beautiful, quilted cozy to cover the fence in front of the White House to honor Mother’s Day.”

Again, PLEASE don’t turn this into a debate thread or present arguments in this thread as that is NOT the purpose of this post; it’s simply to let those who may be interested in participating know CODEPINK is doing this and to provide the details.

They want knitters to participate in making a “quilted cozy?” Putting their politics aside, they seem a little mixed-up on the techniques of fiber and needle arts.

Yeah, I thought the same thing…lol…The only thing I could come up with is they plan on quilting it after they receive all the knitted swatches?? Seems pointless but hey, if that’s what they want! :teehee:
