Circular knitting (hat) Help!

I have knitted the majority of a DK hat on circular needles. I’ve done 2 before fine without any issues but this one I have made big big mistakes when decreasing by not counting my stitches and ruining my stitch pattern!

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to unlock the rows where I’ve made mistakes on a circular needle??

Can anybody help?

Seb

Welcome to the forum!
It’s much the same as tinking (unknitting) a row on straight needles.

Use the left needle to insert into the stitch on the round below and continue all the way around. A marker will help keep track of the beginning of round. Actually, markers are great to maintain a stitch pattern between decreases too.
The hat looks very nice. What pattern are you following?

Thanks for the advice!

I actually started making mistakes about 8 rows below… Tinking 8 rows seems like a long process - is it easy to just put my stitch markers at the beginning of each row and slipping them off the circular some how?

The pattern is improvised (I’m a pretty rogue knitter)

We love rogue knitters!
When I need to take back a number of rows or rounds, I take the sts off the needle and rip back to the row with the mistake. Then I pull the yarn out of the stitches as I insert the left hand needle. It’s like the tinking video but without sts on the right hand needle. Usually the sts are mounted correctly but if not, just get them on the needle. You can change the mount as you knit the row.

You are a SAVIOUR! It worked!! Thanks for the tip, very happy me
