I have just come back to knitting after a 20 year absence. I would love to knit myself a cute scarf to wear during the christmas holidays to keep me in the spirit. With all the new yarns I am at a lost as to how to put colors and different styles of yarns together. Does anybody have any suggestions.

I’d make something red in a dreamy yarn.
Knitpicks Panache might be a good pick. It’s cashmere, alpaca, silk, and wool. And it comes in a great red color. I have some at home and it’s very soft.
There should be some free patterns over there too.
