Is there a way to convert a “pin and turn” short row method to German short rows?l
I’m not familiar with pin and turn short rows. Could you explain them? I’m thinking this might be Japanese short rows. When I want to sub GSR for another method, usually w&t, I do the ds using the stitch that would be wrapped. Depending on which ‘expert’ you find online I’m either doing it wrong or doing it right. Some say to do the ds one stitch before the stitch indicated for w&t. I can’t tell that it actually matters. I find sticking with the count given in the pattern and doing the ds in the same stitch as another method is less confusing. YMMV Pick a way to do it and be consistent is my suggestion.
If you want to dive deeper before you decide there are tutorials on the topic.

Roxanne says I do it wrong but her love of spreadsheets and math boggles my brain.

If you use GSR, just work one stitch more before turning.
Thanks. I’ll try that.
I’ll go on you tube and see what I can find. Can’t find my pattern download to copy and paste instructions here. Too much to type. Complicated method. Thanks for your help.
