Chain mail pattern

Has anyone done any of these patterns? I think my Mom and I are going to mess around with 'em but I’d love to see some pictures of finished (or half way finished) pieces. http://www.usitt.org/tdt.index/extras/39-3chainmail.html

I’m thinking about using this yarn in their silverish color, I think it’d be cool lookin.

Take a look at my earlier post here, with comment about construction.

I have not attempted these yet - up to my eyeballs in knitted poultry at the moment. I might have to try a few pieces this summer… some of my friends are Ren Faire geeks and we often barter for reenactment gear that someone else has made. (Example: I knit or sew in exchange for someone making me a wooden chest or a chair).

If you get to it first, post pics…I’d love to see how this stuff drapes when constructed of various materials.

Ohh cool. My families really into the Ren Faires and used to go to the SCA events, which is why I was interested. I might take a try at it soon, hehe.

Neat! I’m ex-SCA myself. Decided to spend more time doing living history events - my eras changed to Rev and US Civ wars. I have to say, the corsets are more comfortable.

I still like going to Ren Faires - my favorite outfit was Sofi’s Stitches Avon Jupon. So versatile! You could make it up for any class with just a change of fabrics.

Uh… Wynnie, you knit chickens?

oooh, that dress is beautimous! I need to get out my ren faire stuff and see if it still fits, it’s been a couple years since I went, stupid school takes up waaaay too much of my free time. I’m going to get the nylon in the next few days, so hopefully I’ll some ‘in progress’ pictures soon.
