I have to pick up a border ending at centre of back neck but I am just a bit unsure where that is, have I correctly identified it in the picture? This is the pattern Cardigan in Rico Baby Dream DK (692) - PDF - Vibes & Scribes

Just thinking here now, I think the pattern has a part missing - it should probably say to join shoulder seams should it? Then this part makes sense.

I was just going to ask, have you joined the shoulder seams yet. The back of the neck should look something like this:

Thank you so much it just threw me because it hadn’t asked to join shoulder seams. It didn’t register with me at all until I thought about it a bit more. I just assumed it was something I hadn’t come across before. Xx

As if patterns can’t be confusing enough, there are errors there to make us scratch our heads. Your knitting looks lovely on this adorable cardigan!

Thank you and for all the help as always. Safe to say I was very confused.
I am hoping it will block out ok as its very scrunched up.
The stockinette will relax and the lace will open up. Blocking definitely helps.
