Central Ohio Binky Patrol needs help!

Hi,

I recently started a local chapter of the national nonprofit organization, Binky Patrol. It’s called Central Ohio Binky Patrol and we make binkies (blankets) for children of all ages. Our chapter’s dream is for every child in foster care in Ohio to have a binky of their own. Because we are a new chapter, we are in desperate need of help!

There are many ways you can help….you can volunteer to make binkies (knitted, crocheted, quilted, even no-sew tied fleece), you can send me 6” or 12” squares for me to make into binkies, you can send any yarn, fabric, batting, knitting/crochet accessories, quilting notions that you don’t need anymore, and finally you can spread the word about us!!

If you are interesed in helping please either send me a private message or respond here. I hope to hear from lots of you soon!

Thanks,
Lisa

Contact your local schools and girl scout troops, i know GS does a lot for project linus… they may have a patch that they need to earn that making a binkie would fall under too…

Hi Lisa!
I have some yarn I can send your way. I have lots of yarn that was given to me for charity knitting, and I don’t have time to knit it all before I die. Ha!

Thanks! I sent you a private message with my address!

That is a great idea about the schools! I have contacted girls scouts and they are planning to use us a service project next fall. Anywho, the school are a great idea too!

I have some very exciting news!! One of my volunteers has offered her time and technical expertise to build Central Ohio Binky Patrol a brand new website! It’s ready and let me tell you… it’s awesome! We have a chat area, message boards, our own photo gallery and tons of information about the charity. I would love for you to come check it out at www.cobp.org- I think you are going to love it and want to stay for quite awhile!
