Cat hair sweater

saw this video at msn while looking up the pet food recall, wanted to share.

Wow  That’s surely something I haven’t seen before! :teehee:

Uhh, wow.

Very purrty sweater, don’tcha think?!

I was saving my cats fur until I learned that it had to be the fluffy kind. I’m glad they showed her cat to confirm this for me. My kitty has short hair.

:ick: That seems really gross to me. I don’t know why! I just wouldn’t use fur from my cat, even though she is fluffy (and named Cashmere :teehee: ). I just keep thinking of everything that the cat has been through (Dirt, dandruff ect.), but then I think that a sheep has been through the same stuff. I don’t know why it freaks me out.

Thought I had seen it all, but that’s a new one. I have a beautiful orange tabby and his fur would make a marvelous sweater except I am allergic to him anyhow so no tabby sweater for me.

Thanks for sharing that one!

There’s been a few threads here about making your cat/god hair into yarn to knit with. It is a pretty sweater, but I just don’t think I’d want to wear my pet’s hair. My cat likes to scratch his his own back by rolling in the dirt. With wool, its cleaned, but how do you clean cat hair?

You have the Cat lick herself first… :roflhard:

Since it’s the saliva that causes the allergies wouldn’t washing it help? My beautimous Marshmallow would make an awesome sweater, but she’s almost 16 and I don’t know if I could accumulate enough for a sweater before… :pout:

Maybe if you’re allergic you could wash it in that stuff you’re supposed to wash your cat in to deter allergies? I’ve never tried it…I prefer to suffer quietly than to try to wash my cats!
