I have unsuccessfully been able to get an answer from the designer, so hopefully someone can help.
I am working on the neck and shoulder shaping for the fronts and back. For the back, the shoulder ends with 25 stitches and for the fronts the shoulder ends with 21 stitches before bind off. So when sewing the fronts to the back the shoulders don’t match. Is this a mistake in the pattern or should I try to reduce the number of stitch’s on the back shoulder?
Welcome to the forum!
It’s such a pretty cardigan with clean lines.
Check that the numbers are correct for the pattern. You might try a combination of increases to the fronts and decreases on the back to even out the stitches for the seams. A stitch off is ok for 3 needle bind off or mattress stitch but this is just too many at the moment. Even for a back stitch seam it would be better to come closer to even numbers fronts and back.
I agree with your suggestion. I will figure out a way to either reduce stitches or increase. Thanks so much.

Thanks you so much for your response and suggestions
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I will see if there are any notes about adjustments for the shoulder stitches, if not I am inclined to reduce the stitches on the back shoulder.
Appreciate your response.
