Casting or binding off using circular needles

How do I bind off when I have finished knitting on circular needles?
Nothing in any of my books or the videos I have seen show how to do that.

Thanks for your help, I really want to finish this and wear it.

You bind off as you would with any knitting. Here’s a video for BIND OFF ON CIRCULAR NEEDLE.

Bind off exactly the same - work 2 sts, lift one over, repeat. When you get to the last stitch it’s going to be a row higher than the first one because knitting in the round make a spiral. What I do there is knit into the middle of the first stitch (not the BO chain) and use that one to BO the loop which closes the gap and evens out the edge.

Welcome to Knitting Help! Here’s a couple of ways to avoid a jog at the end of a circular bind off.

It’s almost impossible to describe without demonstrating it, but the way I even up the BO row in a circular piece is to work the end of the yarn through both sides of the “jog” with a crochet hook or yarn needle, in a … sort of duplicate stitch fashion. It kind of fills in the gap and pulls the BO row up and the last knit row down and… ahh… you’d have to see it. The point is to tie the end of the BO row together with the beginning (or maybe the end) of the last knit row so they meet in the middle.

But the BO itself is no different from what you’d do if you were binding off the same stitches flat.

I found this very useful for a smooth bind off in the round at the website for impeccableknits.ca

hope this is helpful
